Today after the demonstrations I drove over to Redondo beach to meet up with my uncle for dinner. We went over to the Redondo pier to have dinner at “Old” Tony’s. We had seats so we could see the water roll up onto the shoreline and across at the pier. There was also the sunset to see as well.
Dinner was very tasty. I had a flight of char broiled seafood items, scallops, shrimp, swordfish and salmon. I am not a big salmon fan however but this was the best part of the meal. I love swordfish but tonight’s was very dry.
After dinner we walked around the pier and watched all the people fishing. There were a ton of people there too. Luckily the light hadn’t completely disappeared for the night.
After our walk we hit Penguin’s Place for some awesome frozen yogurt. A very nice night. One great perk of traveling is that I get a chance to see people I don’t see that often.

The meal sounds good, I love salmon. I’m sure Jim enjoyed your visit and it gave him a chance to catch up on things with you. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
I did not know that. We hardly ever have it so I didn’t know. Yep, I caught Jim up on stuff and he caught me up on stuff as well.
I haven’t been to Redondo Beach in years!
It sounds like you had a good time with your uncle.
The first time I was here was when I was 18, things have changed a bit. I remember roller blading from Redondo to Manhattan Beach. So much fun.
Your picture is awesome, as usual.

My husband and I had many a date around Redondo Pier! He lived in Redondo Beach when we were dating. Many, many memories of that area!

Thanks very much Karen. And congrats for getting a golden ticket. You deserve it. And I see you closing the gap, so that is also awesome. Glad you liked the photo.
That is very cool Lynne. I came out here when I was 18, nearly 16 years ago. Yikes. I loved Roller Blading the Strand.
Great photo! But who’s that next to me? I didn’t even know you took that picture. It was great to see you again.
On second look, I don’t think that is me.
Unless you turned Mexican when I wasn’t looking, neither of those guys are you. It was fun seeing you as well. We had a very nice dinner and thanks for the great frozen yogurt.
