On October 9 – 11 I attended a Disney Press Event for THOR: RAGNAROK. My hotel and airfare and meals were taken care of while I was in L.A. Opinions and observations as well as recaps and such are all my own. This post will also contain some affiliate links to Amazon.com.
Today is the release date for Thor: Ragnarok and I’ve written a ton of posts about the movie from Interviews with cast members Karl Urban and Rachel House (Coming Monday) to Marvel Studios President, Kevin Feige and Thor: Ragnarok Director, Taika Waititi. I’ve also written about the incredible time I had on the red carpet for Thor: Ragnarok and also my Spoiler Free Thor: Ragnarok review. We all received some fun toys at the event including some Hulk Hands, Hulk Mask, Thor’s Hammer, a Funko Pop and a Thor Junior Novel. When I brought these home Andrew was thrilled with the Hulk hands and the two of us had a fun time play fighting with the hammer and the hulk hands.
I’m a huge Funko POP collector and I picked up a ton of them. I’ve collected all I could possibly find but I still am missing a few like the GameStop Exclusive Surtur, Grandmaster, Walmart Exclusive Hulk and the Target exclusive Hela without the headdress. But, I did find the Korg Pop on Amazon.com
In addition to collecting Funko Pops I am also big on collecting the Hot Wheels Character cars. This time though, there were character cars and then there were character themed cars. There is a big difference between the two. I found the set of five Hot Wheels Thor themed cars at Walmart. They look great, too!
The character cars are really well done. I’ve only found two of the four cars. I found the Thor and Loki ones at Target and I was lucky to do so. There are some that I have never found from other Marvel movies like Doctor Strange. I totally missed that one and Mantis from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.
While I was at the Thor: Ragnarok Press Conference I saw a bunch of other Thor Ragnarok products. There are some articles of clothing, toys and there are also some die-cast pins that I really want to find and collect.
In the photo below you can see the Thor Ultimate Mjolnir Hammer: Summon the power of Thor with this Ultimate Mjolnir Hammer that features voice and sound effects. Inspired by Marvel’s Thor: Ragnarok, the hard foam head lets your little hero strike (in preapproved places, of course) and save the world!
Hulk Mask by Hasbro: Your little hero can Hulk out with this deluxe mask featuring Marvel’s Incredible Avenger. Opening your mouth activates a chin lever than opens Hulk’s mouth and moves his eyebrows, too!
Hulk Smash Fists by Hasbro: Get ready for super smashing action with these Hulk Smash Fists. Featuring heroic sound effects inspired by Thor: Ragnarok, these giant green gloves really pack a punch at playtime.
Then we get to what I like most of all: the Marvel Legends and Thor: Ragnarok Pops. These are done so well.
I’ve done a couple of pictures and posts of the Funko Pops and yesterday I did an unboxing of all the Marvel Legends figures to build Hulk. I’ve added the video of that unboxing below.
While I got a Hulk hat in the Thor: Ragnarok Marvel Collector Corps box, there are other hats that you can find as well.
A while back I went to the LEGO Headquarters in Connecticut and While I was there I picked up the two LEGO Marvel Superheroes set for Thor: Ragnarok. There are pretty amazing. the LEGO Super Heroes Thor Vs. Hulk: Arena Clash 76088 is awesome and comes with Hulk, Grandmaster, Loki and Thor!
The LEGO Super Heroes the Ultimate Battle for Asgard 76084 is another great set with Hela, some Berserkers, Thor, Valkyrie and Bruce Banner. You can also build a sweet spaceship and Fenrir’s Wolf.
While I did not receive any of the Marvel Legends figures at the Thor: Ragnarok Trip I received three from Hasbro and then bought the rest myself. I then did that Livestream with them (see above). These are great figures that are well articulated and six of them have parts for Hulk and that is a huge figure! They are pretty awesome figures.
Well that is about everything I found for Thor: Ragnarok. There are quite a few amazing things to find. So, what do you like? I’m sure you can find them in the links below.
