The other day I was at Target with Andrew and I saw a Melissa and Doug kit for playing with Play-Doh. Andrew has been enjoying Play-Doh at Play Group so I picked it up. then I saw a big bucket of Play-Doh plus plastic knives, rollers and more tools to use. I decided to pick it up instead because it also contained Play-Doh. Andrew played with it for a long time that day and this morning when I came downstairs the kids were again playing with it. I took my camera and my new 16-50mm lens into the room and started taking photos of them playing. I love how this new lens captures the colors. They really pop.
I figure that in a couple of weeks the only color we’ll have left is brown because already the Play-Doh is becoming mixed together.
This afternoon was another meeting of the Photography Club at Eva’s school. The students were excited to get out and start shooting different things. I’m really becoming more impressed every day with the things that Eva is doing. She is really excited about the club and wants to use the NX30 but there aren’t enough of them to go around so I give her the NXMini or if I have to, she gets the Kodak. She is disappointed when she has to use the Kodak, she wants to be able to do all the manual settings and really learn the more advanced cameras. I want to teach her how to use them and I assured her that we have the cameras at home so she can always use them with me. While I worked with the 7th and & 8th graders Eva played with some of the lighting items I brought with me and she then used my NX1 and new 16-50mm S lens to take some really nice shots. Here she is setting up her lighting.
