Coming Soon to Netflix: Friends from College #StreamTeam

FRIENDS FROM COLLEGE wineAs part of the Netflix #StreamTeam I received early access to watch the first three episodes of the new Netflix Original comedy, Friends from College. I watched all three in a mini binge session. It is an entertaining show. While I cannot relate to having a tight knit group of college friends I have experienced those moments where old friends only see you for who you were in the past. I can relate to the Cobie Smulders character (Lisa) who is still called “Froshie” by the Annie Parisse character of Sam. I have those friends that when we get together the same four stories are retold for the umpteenth time.

I enjoyed the performances of the cast. I really like watching Keegan-Michael Key despite his character’s behavior and choices in the show. He is very entertaining to watch. I also enjoyed the performance by Fred Savage. It is good seeing him in a show again.FRIENDS FROM COLLEGE

Friends From College follows a group of college friends who are reunited, living in the same city, and facing down their forties. With interwoven and oftentimes complicated relationships with one another, Friends from College is a comedic exploration of old friendships, former romantic entanglements and balancing adult life with nostalgia for the past. Friends From College stars Keegan-Michael Key (Ethan), Cobie Smulders (Lisa), Annie Parisse (Sam), Nat Faxon (Nick), Fred Savage (Max), and Jae Suh Park (Marianne). The series is executive produced by Nicholas Stoller (Neighbors, Neighbors: Sorority Rising, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, Get Him to the Greek), who also directed all eight episodes. Francesca Delbanco serves as an EP and writer.

Friends from College premieres on Netflix on July 14, 2017.
