You all know how much I enjoy coloring. I’ve done some fun projects where I have colored giant crayola coloring sheets over and hour long period using every crayon in the box. That is a fun project. Another really fun project is playing with the all new Color Alive app and Color Alive coloring books. These are some amazing new books from Crayola including Fairies, Dragons, Skylanders, Barbie, Monster High and soon Minions. I have bought four of the books for Eva and Andrew so far and they have had a great time using them. We’ll eventually pick up Monster High and Minions soon.
These are no ordinary coloring books. By using the coloring books and the special edition crayons with the Color Alive App you can bring your pictures to life. TRADITIONAL COLORING TRANSFORMS INTO INTERACTIVE 4D PLAY
DAQRI Mobile App Combines Best of Physical and Digital Play Patterns
LOS ANGELES – Skylanders™ are among the fan-favorite properties featured in Crayola® Color Alive™! collection, the new mobile app fusing real world imagination with digital interactivity. Crayola Color Alive! powered by DAQRI, the industry leader in augmented reality, allows kids to see their favorite character come to life on screen, exactly as they have created them on the coloring pages.
Combining the traditional coloring experience with the most advanced 4D technology, the Color Alive! eye-popping adventure begins by printing and coloring pages from the app or Crayola Color Alive! Action Coloring Books. Once colored, in app mode aim the mobile device’s camera at the colored page, tap and the character bursts to the screen in multiple 4D animated sequences, complete with the colors and designs from the artist’s printed page.
The magic continues as characters can be saved, shared, and brought back to life again and again, no pages needed. Kids and families can take pictures with their creation, and further share it in the real world. Artists of all ages can keep the fun going, through new coloring pages from directly inside the app.
The Color Alive! collection also features Barbie®, Skylanders™, as well as classic fairies and pixies found in Enchanted Garden and dragons, wizards, and knights of Mythical Creatures. Available for free with in-app purchases, Crayola Color Alive! is available for iOS, Android and Windows platforms.
Young artists can also tap into special effect colors, which add amazing animated effects, including Fire-Breath™, Ice-Blast™, Pixie-Dust™ and Show-Stopper™. Crayola Color Alive! we color with a lot of crayons here at my house,my frig is covered with the grandkids “art” love it
I used to paint when I was younger, but I haven’t in ages. Now I am into “fiber arts”, as in crocheting.
Crayons! Or paint depending on the surface!
I love watercolor- so easy and so pretty and the cleanup is usually pretty mellow.
My favorite Art Form is drawing with colored pencils.
I love everything that my kids create. But anything they draw, color or paint on paper is easier to display.
I like to paint and do paper crafts.
