I took Halloween night off so that I could take the kids Trick-Or-Treating. Eva was so very excited because this year I decided to get an actual costume and go dressed up. Target had some excellent costumes for adults and they had a Boba Fett one that I decided to buy. I had already bought a Boba Fett Helmet which we were going to try and paint it to look like the helmet for Sabine Wren from Star Wars Rebels. However, we are not that creative nor did we have the time to do so and it stayed as Boba Fett’s helmet.
For Eva’s costume I found it online and then picked up two Nerf Rebelle blasters that fit perfectly into the holsters of the costume. I got Andrew’s costume when I did a Collective Bias shop and then the hands came from a toy review earlier in the year. He only wore one of the gamma gloves when we went Trick-Or-Treating. For the blaster for me costume I found it at Disney but had our friend Maureen pick it up for me and ship it. She was kind enough to do so. For some reason it only lit up and didn’t do the sound so last night I tried to fix it and ended up messing up the lights but I managed to fix them, never did fix the sound. Got the sound to work once or twice but it was strange. I didn’t need sound though, the lights worked well and lots of people complimented our costumes.
I think that Eva was most excited about my costume because she sees Boba Fett as possibly the father of Sabine. That is not the case but they have the same armor. I know that we both want to find out more about who Sabine is on Star Wars Rebels. She had a great time as Sabine. We ended up going to many more houses this year than previous years. Luckily we hit the very festive house last because it scared the kids silly. Check out this yard.
This house goes all out and I love it because it looks fantastic with mist, lasers and more. There are even some things that move. Well, there was a spider that jumps forward and that was the last straw for Eva. She lost it. She yelled at me all the way home about “How can you like that stuff”. I don’t like horror movies but I do like a good house with Halloween decorations. Andrew didn’t like it either but he was a little less upset. We finished out the night watching the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown and had an uneventful night of sleep.
In the morning I went to the Halloween ComicFest over at Wild Time Comics. I did not make the mistake of bringing the kids with me this time. They would not have done well with the costumes or the decorations. I enjoyed it though and even did a little Periscope of the event.
Oh NO!!! Send it back to me and I’ll return it or exchange it for one that works!!! The Mouse will make it right…or I will!! 🙂
Maureen,
not a problem. It is no biggie. It still lights up and that is pretty much all I need. Thanks again for picking it up for me. Are you ever going to tell me what I owe you?
