Today Eva met one of her Great-Grandmothers. This is Eva with Great-Grandma B., my Dad’s Mom. She and Great-Grandpa B. came over to visit and they brought us a very nice little hat for Eva. We then went for a walk around the block, Eva, Great-Grandma, Great-Grandpa and Me. It has been beautiful here lately so we have gotten out for a walk each day.
The day started with a trip to the pediatrician. Eva is doing great and our pediatrician puts us right at ease. Eva is up to 8lbs again and her color is healthy. I still see a little yellow in the eyes and we will keep putting her in the sunshine every chance we get.
We then went over to the paint store to pick up the wall paint for the bathroom. We choose a Benjamin Moore Dark Lime in an Eggshell and the paint is an Aura paint. I have used the Aura paint before in the dining room and I really liked it. I also learned a good tip about the paint from Rocky at the paint store. Do all the cutting in first with this paint and then do the roller stuff. I had tried to do it all at once and it dried so fast I think I lost some of the paint.
And then we went to the supermarket to pick up a few things. If you shop at Shaw’s they have 24 count boxes of Crayons for .57 cents. I stocked up so Eva would have some crayons to play with in like 4 years.
When we got home I painted the trim in the bathroom. I will do the walls probably tomorrow.
My Mom’s friend Ann came over with three pretty little outfits for Eva and then Grandma and Grandpa arrived with a bag of clothes from my cousin. So Eva is doing fine on clothes right now. I suspect she will do a bunch of growing and be right out of them all soon enough.
We are trying out Chicken Mirabella tonight from Dream dinners. The Herb Encrusted Flank Steak lasted for 6 servings and was delicious at each one. So far I am glad we signed up to do this program.
those dinners must be a godsend at times like this. but that photo? wow, it is stunning. a keeper forever.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, definitely in this case. Really like the blog too.
That IS a photograph!
I really love this photo. I wish I had one of my grandmother holding my babies this way. What a beautiful moment to capture!
Thanks Andrée,
The dinners have been very helpful and I just love the photograph as well.
Thanks Daddy P. It was my favorite one from yesterday.
Thanks very much JC. I try really hard to make it a decent place for people to visit, thanks for stopping by and commenting.
Sonya,
I’ve made sure that each family member gets a photo with Eva. Gotta get them all. Grandma B had a very nice time with Eva yesterday.
