I have so many things I want to post but no time for full on posts so this is going to be one post filled with randomness.
Most important – I need donations for the Relay for Life. If you are so inclined I am walking in the Relay for Life June 27 & 28th. I am raising money for the relay and would appreciate a donation of any amount to help me reach my fund raising goal of $250.00. You can donate at my Relay for Life personal page. Thanks so much. Bloggers might be interested in my enticing offers in exchange for donations.
Yesterday during a meeting one of my co-workers had his planner up on the screen. I noticed this and gave him crap about it
because the book he lost was called Getting Things Done. He lost it over 2 years ago, before he read it, obviously.
Did you know that I am going to be a moderator of the panel Big Money Bloggers? It is true, I even have my own speaker page on the IZEAFest 2008 website. Now I am going to moderate the session and the speakers that people are really coming to see are the panelists like John Chow, Jeremy Schoemaker, Stephanie Agresta and Neil Patel. If you haven’t signed up to go to IZEAFest 2008 then you are missing out, but there is still time to be part of the party. Sign up today. What you get for the money is way beyond any other blogging convention. Mark your calendars for September 11-13 and get yourself to Orlando.
Speaking of John Chow. I see that he is running a little contest on his blog along with the sponsor Market Leverage. The prizes are pretty awesome. A Nike bag (which I have no use for, we don’t need another stinking bag in the house), A USB drive that is a pen (Mine broke and I need a new one), A Flip video camera (I’ve wanted to try one of these out.), a $200 amex card (who couldn’t use $200, might use that to pay for gas for a week) and an iPod nano.
While I am not the reason behind it I feel that I am helping ins some way. The North Attleboro Animal Shelter is really doing well with finding homes for those pets that have been featured as pet of the week, Harley, General, Trixie and Kelso and some were adopted so quickly that they never made it onto the blog. I actually have to go back and take a bunch more photos because all the ones except for two, that I have pictures for, have been adopted.
In Plain Sight – Hoosier Daddy
I did watch this Sunday night. It is getting tougher to watch this right before going back to work each week. However I did like the episode and liked very much that Marshall can be intimidating when he needs to be. What I didn’t like was the parts where it was all a little creepy like when Mary realizes that Leo accidentally shot his mother and this is after Mary explains her guns to Leo. Then she leaves the room for a moment with Leo in the room with the guns. I didn’t find that to be very responsible. I kept expecting Leo to realize that he was repressing this memory and snapping or something. The tension was built in an odd way.
What sort of counseling will this boy be given, can he get any because Mary is basically covering up what she knows about the death of Leo’s mother. If she comes out and tells someone then the case against the drug dealers is going to be weakened. Eventually Leo is going to realize what really happened. People are finding repressed memories left and right, unless he gets professional help he’s going to have a rough time of it.
I’d like to see less of Jinx and Brandi, they are not good characters. I did like Jinx’s “one eyed” boyfriend who told her that he didn’t care about her $2500 worth. That was after his dog ate many of Jinx’s makeup samples. We also find out the eye patch is just for show. Give that guy more screen time and forget Jinx and Brandi.
Transformers
Information is flowing like crazy for the filming of Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. I have seen a bunch of rumors including some awesome vehicles that well be part of this movie. We are talking Hummer, Saab, Spyder and of course Chevy. So very cool.
Also the Transformers Animated Toys should be out in stores now.

Hey Drew, sorry I’ve been lacking in the commenting lately.
As a huge Transformer’s fan (I’m wearing one of my Soundwave shirts as we speak) I was happy with the movie. Sure it was a bit Michael Bay-ed, but it was a good watch, I’m looking forward to the sequel, and more classic ‘formers new appearances.
As for the summer line up, I’ve been disenfranchised with Last Comic Standing for years now, especially when Doug Benson was competing on it. I’m sorry, but if you have had a whole segment on a VH1 show, you should not be eligible for a show designed for amateur comedians to make a name for themselves.
But I am glad they are bringing back Eureka. Also, they are making a movie for Dead Like Me, so these are a few things to look forward to as well.
Hey there Mike,
MY sister picked me up some Decepticon insignia sleep pants. So I am right there with you with the transformers. I don’t know if you’ve been seeing some of the photos with speculation about vehicles but the new cars and stuff are pretty cool for the next movie.
To tell you the truth I haven’t been watching much of LCS and didn’t like the Doug Benson one, he’s funny on VH1 but was sad on the show.
Eureka was one of my favorites because of all the humor about sci-fi cliches. That was a very good show and I am looking forward to it returning.
