Thanks DreamWorks for the free “She-Ra Yourself Kit” complete with t-shirt, tiara, sword, cape and She-Ra boot socks. Opinions of the show are our own.
We are all geared up in our house for the start of Season 2 of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. This truly was a family show for us. Everyone in the family watched the episodes together and loved them. Andrew loved Bow and Glimmer, Eva She-Ra and Catra, Allison loved Scorpia and I thought Entrapta was so entertainingly weird. Everyone has some laugh out loud moments and we all enjoyed the fun action of the shows. It was such a great update to the classic characters from my youth. I watched every episode when I was younger and enjoyed them, back then. I enjoy the shows even more now because I can share them with the kids.
We are so excited for season 2 to arrive this Friday. Even more excited after we received a special mailer from DreamWorks to “She-Ra Yourself”. This was absolutely perfect for Eva. I had her open the package and then we shot some photos in front of the green screen so that I could make some special images that you can see above and below. But first, check out the season 2 trailer for She-Ra and the Princesses of Power.
In Season 2 of She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Adora finds herself firmly at the lead of the Princess Alliance, embarking on a quest of self-discovery to learn more about her past and her future as She-Ra. With Catra rising the ranks of the Horde, the Rebellion must fight to thwart her next attack.
Executive produced by Noelle Stevenson, She-Ra and the Princesses of Power is the story of an orphaned princess named Adora, who leaves behind her former life in the evil Horde when she discovers a magic sword that transforms her into the legendary warrior She-Ra. Along the way, she finds a new surrogate family in the Rebellion as she unites a group of magical princesses in the ultimate fight against evil.
The ensemble cast includes Aimee Carrero (Young & Hungry) as Adora/She-Ra, along with AJ Michalka (The Goldbergs), Karen Fukuhara (Suicide Squad),Lauren Ash (Superstore), Marcus Scribner (black-ish), Lorraine Toussaint(Orange is the New Black) Vella Lovell (Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), Reshma Shetty (Royal Pains), Sandra Oh (Killing Eve), Christine Woods (Hello Ladies), Jordan Fisher (Grease: Live), Merit Leighton (Alexa and Katie), and Krystal Joy Brown (Motown: The Musical).
With the “She-Ra Yourself” Kit we transformed Eva into the Princess of Power. Using the Green screen and some editing I was able to make a few images that I thought were fun using the Etheria castle in the background. Here is one with the emphasis on the boot socks and sword from the kit.
And I made this promo image for the Season 2 premiere on Netflix. Eva in a nice hero pose, too.
And Eva wouldn’t be Eva if she didn’t immediately come up with a crafting idea. She made back scabbards for all of her swords this afternoon including the She-Ra one.
