You want it, you got it! IZEAFest.com is open!

I was a speaker

IZEAFest 2009, the blogger conference that I have been telling you about since IZEAFest 2008, is happening October 1-4, 2009 and it includes multiple parties, amazing speakers and a blogger takeover day of SeaWorld! Did I mention the whole Blogging Conference will take place at SeaWorld? I didn’t, well it is!

I took a quick run through the new site and I think it is amazing. Of course, it is missing yours truly as one of the speakers this year. I’ll miss that, but my good friends Julie and Brett are going to be moderators this year! I can’t wait to see them on stage. I’m also a little bummed not to be seeing Robert Scoble speak but Ted Murphy has stepped up and will be keynoting Friday morning with a session called Developing Your Personal Brand. I couldn’t think of anyone better to talk about that. I’ve been to many blogging conferences with Brett, Julie and Ted and they are going to knock your socks off. I’m confident now more than ever that when you take a look at the IZEAFest.com site you are going to be climbing the walls to get in to the event.

This was a sponsored post from IZEA. I’ve also posted quite a bit about IZEAFest in the past. Some of my past posts about IZEAFest 2009 were 10 Great Reasons to Go! and 10 Items to Bring With You to IZEAFest 2009. I’ll be posting more about IZEA in the future and more about IZEAFest 2009 as well. That is because I’m a big fan of IZEA and also because I have some passes to IZEAFest 2009 give away. The “I’m Not A Famous Blogger” IZEA Insiders Crew and my readers will get first crack at those passes.

Day 1 -31DBBB – Write an Elevator Pitch

Today’s task in the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog Challenge is to write an elevator pitch for your blog.

This blog has certainly lost its direction. I intend to get it back in this 31 day challenge. I’m also doing the challenge on BenSpark.com

Here is my elevator pitch for Read To Me, Dad.

Children love to be read to, and by doing this parents help their kids develop a love of reading themselves. Read to Me, Dad reads and reviews various children’s books and offers parents suggestions for the best books for them and their kids.
