I went to Chub’s Blue Pig BBQ today because I had finally gotten enough punches on my punch card for a free sandwich. I went to ty out their Chopped Cheese sandwich. This is basically a cheeseburger but instead of a formed burger it is hamburger meat with cheese melted onto it and then other cheeseburger fixins. It was pretty good. Sort of like a steak and cheese sub. I decided that I would take the lunch outside and sit along the street on the chairs that they had there. It is still fairly nice out so it was probably one of the last times I could do that for a while.

I’ve been wanting to try the brisket mac and cheese from Chubb’s Blue Pig BBQ for some time now. I just haven’t had a chance to until today. Today was National Mac and Cheese day. I contacted Chubb’s on Instagram to see if they would have any of this creation and they said that they had a small batch. So, before I slept I asked Allison to pick up some for dinner. She got a quart of it. A quart is a lot even with Andrew eating his fill and more of it. I enjoyed it very much but it is heavy stuff. Hope I don’t fall asleep (more than usual) at work tonight.
