I received a large box of Transformers: Age of Extinction Toys to play with and review. Opinions are 100% my own on the toys and the related movie.
Transformers KRE-O sets are fun. I have a bunch of them when they first came on the scene including a large Optimus Prime one and a few other Autobots. I like the little Kreon characters and try to collect many of them when I can find a set on sale. I was sent the Grimlock Street Attack set which included 3 Kreons and the Grimlock Dinobot figure. I was playing around with my Samsung NX30 and NX300 with the 60mm Macro lens. I was taking photos of the shiny Optimus Prime Helmet that came with the KRE-O version of custom Optimus Prime and it made me think that it was a memorial to a fallen in battle Optimus Prime.
This also made me think of Transformers Prime, the cartoon series that I think was the best Transformers series ever. At the end of the series Optimus Prime is one with the All Spark. He’s basically dead, I’m sure that he will be coming back, though. There is no way that he’s gone for good. But, at the end of the series he is gone. I recently learned that an all new Transformers series is in the works for 2015. It will pick up years after the events of Transformers Prime, see the press release below.
