During my trip to LA last week Marvel Studios went and made Avengers: Infinity War available on digital with the release of the Bluray coming on August 14th. To celebrate this launch we went to Madame Tussauds in Hollywood almost directly across from the El Captain Theater where the movie premiered. There we got to explore the new Marvel Super Heroes 4D installation. We also got to make wax Infinity Gauntlets and sit down with Executive Producer of Avengers: Infinity War, Trinh Tran. She spoke with us after we took a look at a few of the special features from the upcoming Bluray. This was all part of a press trip that I took as a guest of Disney. My airfare, hotel and food were compensated. I received no money from the trip or the posts written afterward. I will include some Amazon affiliate links to the movie and other products within this post and I have edited the interview for easier reading and length.

I’m Headed to California to Hang with Christopher, Ralph and Thanos
In a week’s time I will be on a plane headed to California for a rather interesting trip. I am headed out for another Disney Press trip but this time it is not focused on a Marvel movie. However, I will be talking to some folks from Marvel about the Avengers: Infinity War Blu-ray release. It is not primarily focused on an animated movie. Although, I will be meeting with people at Disney Animation Studios about Ralph Breaks the Internet, the follow up to Wreck-It Ralph, one of my favorite movies ever. No, this time I am headed out to see a Disney Live-Action movie that looks like it will be one of the most adorable ones of the Summer. I’m headed out to see Christopher Robin. I’ll be seeing the movie, not once but twice!
I’ve read the Winnie the Pooh Books and grew up watching the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. When Eva was born so many things that we received at the shower were Winnie the Pooh related. Allison is a big fan of Winnie the Pooh and she’s quite jealous that I am going, but I think that is more so because I am going to get to interview Hayley Atwell! She plays Evelyn Robin, Christopher’s wife but we know her more for playing Agent Peggy Carter. Telling Allison that I was going to meet her almost landed me on the couch for the foreseeable future.
While I am excited to meet Hayley Atwell and Ewan McGregor, I’m really going to fanboy over Jim Cummings. Who is that you say? He is the voice of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, too! Jim has been the voice of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger for forty years!! He’s also been in so many cartoons from my childhood and I’m so excited to meet him!
Like any of these trips there will be a ton of surprises and so much work to be done while we are there as well as when we return. We’ll be meeting so many people who are working on Ralph Breaks the Internet, interviewing many folks involved in Christopher Robin and also walking the Red Carpet for the movie. On this trip is something I’ve never done before. I’ll be visiting Madame Tussauds Hollywood for a very special Marvel’s Avengers: Infinity War showcase plus an interview with Executive Producer Trinh Tran and a chance to make my very own wax Infinity Gauntlet! Making wax hands was a thing that I did in college and I’m curious as to how a wax gauntlet is going to be made. Continue reading I’m Headed to California to Hang with Christopher, Ralph and Thanos
