The Lion Sleeps This Afternoon

I took Andrew to the Zoo today. Trying to tire him out as often as possible. He’s a ball of energy all the time. Getting out of the house is great because he can run and play. We’ve been cooped up all Winter with such a bitter cold and getting outside is nice. At the zoo Andrew loves to go from enclosure to enclosure and watch all the animals. He loves the goats and Alpacas. The Lions are also one of his favorites and everything in the nighttime house is fun for him.

After the zoo we went to the playground. I couldn’t believe how confident Andrew is when he climbs. He went through everything on the little kids jungle gym. Slides, chains and bars and more. He flew all over that equipment and I had to drag him away from it so I could get home and get some sleep. I think we’ll be spending a lot of time over there this Summer.

New Photography Project


Photo-A-Day #3020

Last week when I was on the Cape I got a bunch of old slides from my grandfather. And there are many, many of them. What to do with all of them? I could send them out to get them done and while it wouldn’t be super expensive to pay someone else to do them I wanted to give it a try myself. My brother-in-law’s father had purchased a slide attachment for his Nikon camera. It also fits mine and I’ll be messing around with ways to convert all those slides into digital images. The cool thing is that the very first slide was one of me, I think. I’ll have to go through them and check them all out to see if I can conclusively identify that it is a photo of me. First, I have to figure out how to take these slide photos.
