Allison has been working on a hat for our friend’s baby boy. His first birthday is coming up and she made him an adorable Very Hungry Caterpillar hat. The very same Very Hungry Caterpillar from the Eric Carle books. We wanted to get some shots of the hat so we had Andrew model it. the thing is, Andrew is not a cooperative model. As soon as he sees the camera he turns away. He is most unhelpful in that aspect. My new NXMini has a kid’s mode and with it there is sound. When I push the shutter button a silly sound is made which should cause a child to turn and look. Then the camera takes a series of 5 photos. The thing is, Andrew doesn’t turn to the noise and after the camera does the 5 shots he laughs at that sound, more maybe he’s just laughing at my frustration.
Did you know that March 20th is The Very Hungry Caterpillar Day? It is a day to celebrate Spring inspired by Eric Carle’s iconic story. The Very Hungry Caterpillar is a story that we’ve enjoyed reading to our kids many, many times. We even have a stuffed Zoobies of The Very Hungry Caterpillar that I reviewed a while back, here’s that video.
There are a bunch of activities leading up to the day but also something happening on March 20th that I know my app users are going to love.
