The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are returning to the big screen in the second installment of this new set of movies. I saw the first one and I wasn’t incredibly impressed. I wanted to like the movie, I really did. I’ve been a fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a long time and what bugged me overall was the whole origin story as told int he movie. I could get past the designs on the turtles but some of the major points in their story were just so strange. That being said, I’m going to give this next movie a second chance. The new movie is subtitled OUT OF THE SHADOWS and as we see in the trailer the turtles may be revealing themselves to the world at large. I’m not too sure on that, may be some creative editing.

The new movie will bring to the screen fan favorites, Bebop and Rocksteady. I do like the designs of these characters and look forward to seeing more of them. I hope that they are in the movie a lot. These are characters that we have not seen in a live action movie before and we’ll see their origins along with Baxter Stockman. And now there is a guy playing The Shredder, and not the mega shredderbot from the first movie. We’ll have to see how that is explained.

However, the biggest draw for me is going to be the introduction of Casey Jones. Casey Jones is the hockey masked vigilante who helps the turtles from time to time. Casey Jones will be played by Arrow star, Stephen Amell. I am hoping for a fight between he and Raphael as they are the ones who have the best relationship in the original movie. I’m hoping that between the introduction of Bebop and Rocksteady and the addition of Stephen Amell this second movie will right the wrongs of the first one and make this an entertaining flick. The more I watch this trailer the more I get excited and hopeful that the movie is going to be fun. I also like the use of Run DMC’s Tricky and seeing the Shellraiser in action. More details about the movie are below.

“TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES: OUT OF THE SHADOWS” is the sequel to the 2014 hit film “TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES.” The film is based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters created by Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman and is directed by David Green (“EARTH TO ECHO”). Michael Bay (the “TRANSFORMERS franchise) returns to produce alongside his Platinum Dunes partners Brad Fuller and Andrew Form (“ TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES”), with Galen Walker and Scott Mednick (“TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES”) also producing.

Also returning for the sequel is Megan Fox (“TRANSFORMERS”) as April O’Neil, Will Arnett (“Arrested Development”) as Vernon Fenwick and the Turtles: Alan Ritchson as Raphael, Noel Fisher as Michelangelo, Pete Ploszek at Leonardo, and Jeremy Howard as Donatello. Rounding out the cast is Stephen Amell (“Arrow,”) as Casey Jones, Tyler Perry (“GONE GIRL”, the “MADEA” franchise) as Baxter Stockman, Academy Award nominated actress Laura Linney (“The Big C”, “LOVE ACTUALLY”) as Chief Rebecca Vincent, Brian Tee (“JURASSIC WORLD”) as Shredder, WWE World Heavy Weight Champion Stephen “Sheamus” Farrelly as Rocksteady and Gary Anthony Williams (“THE INTERNSHIP”) as Bebop.
