On Tuesday four new Disney Infinity 3.0 figures and a new power disc set was released. Today I received a copy of each of those figures and the power disc set for review. Opinions are 100% my own. The figures that were released were Hulkbuster, Ultron, Spot from The Good Dinosaur and Darth Maul. The power disc set was from the movie The Good Dinosaur. Those discs are four dinosaurs from the movie including Arlo, Nash, Butch and Ramsey. We put these figures through their paces this afternoon and I was very happy with what I saw.
I’ve been doing a ton of playing on the Twilight of the Republic Play Set. I’ve done many challenges and most of them are complete. Some of the challenges are only able to be completed by Darth Maul. Now I can fully complete the challenges with all characters except for Boba Fett. Darth Maul is an incredibly powerful character. I enjoy playing as him. He’s only halfway leveled up and he’s a force to be reckoned with.
The Hulkbuster figure and the Ultron figure are only playable in the Toy Box at this time. In the Spring of 2016 a whole new Play Set will be released. That is one that I am looking forward to most. The Play Set will be a four player local game. When that comes out then the whole family can play together. Playing Hulkbuster is cool. He gets stronger and stronger weapons. Ultron can summon droids right out of the ground to defend him and attack bad guys.
Spot is the little cave boy from the movie The Good Dinosaur. He fights like a little puppy dog with his hands, feet and teeth. He’s really adorable, too. With the power disc set he can ride any one of the four main dinosaurs from The Good Dinosaur. The coolest thing is that in the Toy Box any character can ride the dinos. Each dino also has an attack feature. Arlo does major stamping, Nash does a major roar. I even caught The Hulkbuster figure riding on Arlo and Spot Riding on Nash when Andrew and I played.
