I am so STOKed!

Photo-A-Day #3715

Today I got a HUGE delivery from STOK Grills. I got nearly their entire line of inserts plus a Quattro grill and sweet grill cover. I have been a bit obsessed with STOK Grills for a while now. I see them in Target and I stop and check them out. I marvel at all the different inserts that there are for the grill and I think of all the great grilling possibilities I would have if I had the system. So I began to pursue them online and offer a proposal in exchange for a grill and all the inserts.Well, they sent me nearly all the inserts and a new grill. Opinions of everything related to STOK Grills are 100% my own. So, be on the lookout for not only blog posts with recipes and mouth-watering photos of the things I will be grilling but also videos. When I’m done talking about this grill and all the accessories we will all be experts.

So what came in the mail today? Well, I got the STOK QUATTRO™ 4-BURNER GAS GRILL and I didn’t realize it but that came with a griddle, pizza stone and vegetable tray insert. I had also asked for those so now I can do two pizzas at once and tons of pancakes and breakfast food at the same time. Don’t even get me started about how many veggies I can prepare at one time.

I met the FedEx guy with a dolly and we put the grill right onto the back patio. I then took everything out and laid out all the parts, cut down the big box to use as a work surface, grabbed my toolkit and started assembly. I was home with Andrew and he wasn’t napping today so he was my “helper”. I am a bit obsessive compulsive and I have not had my very own brand new gas grill ever so I wanted to make sure that everything was done exactly right. That meant no scratches and other imperfections. I had to take tools away from Andrew over and over. Finally he got his plastic screwdriver from his outside tool bench and helped. At least with that he wasn’t going to hurt himself or scratch anything. Continue reading I am so STOKed!

Photo-A-Day #3709

I joke often that my time with Andrew each day centers around #OperationNaptime. Those couple of hours of peace and quiet that I may or may not get each day. I’m really lucky that he still naps and that he can fall asleep in the car and I can transition him into his bed and he stays asleep. I joke but I love my time together with Andrew. Each day he is getting stronger, smarter and more confident. I can understand almost everything he says and he’s funny as heck. Today was especially fun.

I had a project due this morning, You may have seen my #MilkDrive post, and he watched some cartoons. Then he wanted to go outside. I had yet to shower after the gym so it was a perfect day to transplant the lilies from the back yard onto the grave of Oliver and Duncan. We have quite the little lily covered pet cemetery happening in the side yard. The kids and Allison will be washing up some of the bricks and painting them to put around the little garden. This will help with the healing for the kids and us. Eva has been picking Rhododendrons and putting them on the grave each morning. Continue reading Stomp Rockets: Point of Impact
