Eva playing in one of her discovery kids tunnels. Today we had over our friends A & R and their child A. We also had Michele and her kids Nate and Audrey. A nice Labor Day cookout in the back yard. Everyone brought something to make it a great meal. We had hamburgers and hot dogs as well as corn on the cob, fruit salad and Allison made a delicious broccoli Salad. That was what I was told, I tried some but don’t really care for any salads other than tossed or macaroni (the kind made with mayo). But everyone was raving about the salad and no one refused a container of it to bring home so I guess I was in the minority on that one.
Eva and the kids played with her Discovery Kids tent sets. Allison and I set up three tens and two tunnels and the kids and A had a good time playing in them. It is always a fun time hanging with friends and we are very blessed to have such good friends. Looking forward to the next adventure.
Also we finally moved Eva’s play kitchen into the house. This is a family heirloom of sorts. Allison’s Mom had it made for Allison when she was little and we’ve had it since they moved to Florida. We now have the room for it so Allison cleaned it up and A helped me bring it into the house. Eva is over the moon to be able to play with it.
Sounds like a fun way to spend labor day. I am from NJ but now live over seas because I feel in love while i was traveling. I really miss the summer holidays
