It was a hot one day for #AdventureFriday. I was up with everyone in the morning and then folded a mountain of laundry while Andrew watched some PBS. Around 9 we went to Morin’s and split a Fenway Fable and a Grilled Blueberry muffin. Andrew loves breakfast as much as I do.
With our bellies fueled up we headed over to the Capron Park Zoo because I knew that the Splash Pad was up and running. Well, it seems that there were a bunch of schools that were having outings and they had the same idea. When we got there a huge line welcomed us. We went over to the playground and played for a while so that the line would go down. While we played Andrew made a friend. He’s such a friendly kid. He goes up to anyone and introduces himself. For Adventure Friday this week I took Andrew to Stony Brook. Stony Brook is a MA Audubon Society Wildlife Sanctuary. We went there last year with the whole family and had a great time. It is over in Norfolk so it is close enough to drive to for a morning walk.
Andrew wanted to go to a playground, he loves them, but I wanted to get out into the woods and do some walking. I convinced him that there was a playground at Stony Brook, which there is but it is very small and has two things, it was the project of an Eagle Scout and for that, it is great. Andrew tired of it quickly so then we could walk in the woods. We went on down the trail tot he boardwalk and there we observed some turtles, two water snakes having an intimate moment, a frog and a bunch of birds.
