For Adventure Friday this week I took Andrew to Stony Brook. Stony Brook is a MA Audubon Society Wildlife Sanctuary. We went there last year with the whole family and had a great time. It is over in Norfolk so it is close enough to drive to for a morning walk.

Andrew wanted to go to a playground, he loves them, but I wanted to get out into the woods and do some walking. I convinced him that there was a playground at Stony Brook, which there is but it is very small and has two things, it was the project of an Eagle Scout and for that, it is great. Andrew tired of it quickly so then we could walk in the woods. We went on down the trail tot he boardwalk and there we observed some turtles, two water snakes having an intimate moment, a frog and a bunch of birds. There were a ton of turtles, we saw both painted box turtles and a pretty big snapping turtle. Continue reading Adventure Friday – Reflections →
