The kids both started a week full of Summer Camp today. Eva was off to Baking Camp at Johnson and Wales. This is her second year at the class and she is so excited to go. It is a longer format this year with baking and cooking in the morning and then in the afternoon she is doing some team building activities. I think this will be an excellent week for her to gain new skills and step outside of her comfort zone.
Andrew is on his second year of Zoocademy. He loved it last year and is so excited to attend again. He really wanted to walk over this morning but I had just gotten home from a weekend of work and I nearly feel asleep before we had to go over. I just wanted to go and get back as quickly as possible so I could catch 3 hours of sleep and go out with Allison. We did divide and conquer where Allison took Eva to her camp. Both kids needed to be there early for paperwork.
Allison and I went over to the Boneyard BBQ Saloon because the kids won’t go with us. I had been going there on Mondays to get the fifty cent wings. They do the best wings there.
Allison got the Southwestern Buffalo Chili Lime wings and I mixed the Buffalo Blue Cheese with the Buffalo Sriracha. that was a great combination. We talked and hung out together catching up and taking some time to actually breathe. With the school year over we had to shift gears into the Summer. It was nice to hang out for a bit before we headed off to pick up Andrew from Camp.
Andrew’s camp gets out before Eva’s and so we can pick him up and go get her. We did that today because we decided to stop over at Sundaes for ice cream for dinner. It was a nice start to Summer.
