Photo-A-Day #3534
Today was a busy day. We did a bunch of our Christmas traditions all in one day. Andrew and I did play group in the morning and he napped in the afternoon, which was good because the day would be a long one. We went and got our tree, shopped for the rest of the Christmas is for Kids toys, visited La Salette and also had our yearly post-La Salette Bliss Bros. dinner.
Andrew and I headed over to Attleboro Farms to meet up with Allison and Eva and pick out our Christmas Tree. Eva wanted a Balsam because we stayed in The Balsams room at the Christmas Farm Inn. She really likes things that match up that way. We found a nice 6 foot Balsam for our house. We got a fresh cut on the tree and they tied the tree onto my roof rack.
We made the snap decision that we’d also go and buy the rest of the toys for Christmas is for Kids. Each year we save some money in order to buy some toys to donate to the program and we take the kids to buy the toys. Andrew is still a little young for it and he wanted to keep everything himself. Eva had many good suggestions and picked out some good things. I’m glad that we involve the kids in this project every year.
Well, by the time we took care of those errands it was pretty late to get home and make dinner so we decided that because it wasn’t cold out that we’d go and see the lights at La Salette. We go every year and enjoy the lights and then have a dinner at Bliss Bros. Dairy. It has been our yearly tradition for a few years now and the kids really enjoy seeing the lights. Allison likes the Nativity sets and I love to take photos. I’m going to have to go back again with a tripod to get some more lights shots.
We had our Bliss Bros. Dinner. Bliss specials for Allison and I and sliders for the kids. We even went for the ice cream and got a bag of M&M cookies so Andrew could have something as well. It was a good night where we got a lot done. Now the next thing to do it haul up all the Christmas bins and start decorating. It is beginning to feel more and more like Christmas.
