The Triumphant Return of Buffy…

Well, not to TV but to comics. Joss Whedon is creating a brand new Buffy comic series that picks up where the TV series left off. The action is going to be bigger and more amazing. I heard about this a while ago but now that the comic is being released in March I am really excited. Don’t worry Allison I added a subscription to it so we won’t miss an issue. I read this article on MTV News about the series. You can even see a preview of the first issue.

I think it is time that we brush up on our Buffy knowledge so we are ready for the comic book series to arrive. And if you want to as well then pick up the Collector’s Boxed set. You will save a ton over buying each season.

And contact your local comic book store and get a subscription to Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

Around the World in 45 Years

I’ve been reading Charles Schulz’s book Around the World in 45 years. It is a collection of strips to commemorate his 45 year of drawing Peanuts. While the book is not outstanding, I would have liked more insight into each strip rather than a select few in the beginning, it does have charm. The charm is in the comic strips. I am a huge Peanuts fan and have begun to compile my own collection of the Fantagraphics collected years of strips. I even got a couple more books from Allison this past Christmas.

As far as Around the World in 45 years is concerned I really enjoyed the foreword by Lynn Johnston who writes For Better or For Worse. I also liked some of the explanations by Schulz about the comics in the beginning of the book. I’m halfway through the comics themselves. All in all I like it.
