I started this month off with a new oral health regimen. I added Crest Pro-Health Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse to the mix as part of a sponsored test drive. I was sent a bottle of the rinse to test out and see what changes, if any, occur in my oral health.
I started off great. I brushed with my Sonicare tooth brush and then flossed with some Crest Glide Floss (sample from my dentist) and then would rinse with the Crest Pro-Health Invigorating Clean Multi-Protection Rinse. I did that morning and night (flossing only at night) until the floss ran out. I know we have more around but I haven’t gone searching. I’m not the best flosser. I dislike flossing, which many people do or at least I assume so because the flossing speech gets whipped out on me each time I go and get my teeth checked out. I hear that I’m brushing great and I don’t have cavities but I need to floss more.
Without going to a formal cleaning at a dentist’s office I’ll tell you what I have noticed. I’m certainly thinking about my teeth more. I make sure that I brush for the two full minutes using my Sonicare. Two minutes can actually feel like and eternity sometimes. I know that after I am done brushing I’ll use the rinse and do the swishing, gargling and spitting thing. I’m still a little surprised by the color change. The color is green in the bottle but for some reason it is purple when I spit it out.
I’ve noticed that I’ve seen less bleeding. My gums occasional have a little bleed to them but I haven’t noticed that at all during this trial. I feel more confident that my breath does not smell after using this rinse. My mouth feels cleaner. I can’t explain it but it feels cleaner after using this rinse. When I run my tongue over my teeth they feel cleaner too. I’m noticing a change and I plan on continuing to use this rinse beyond the trial period and beyond this first bottle.
Disclosure: “I wrote this review while participating in a test drive campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Crest and received a sample to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central Consulting sent me a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.”
I thoroughly recommend a Reach Flosser (http://www.amazon.com/Reach-Flosser-Starter-Pack-set/dp/B0017TU2HE/ref=pd_sbs_hpc_2) as a fellow “you need to floss more”. I keep it in the shower and my gums are oodles better.
Sarah,
Thanks very much. I’ll check into that. Sometimes I can’t get my hands far enough back in my mouth.
