Another beautiful day on Cape Cod capped off with some good old fashioned S’Mores. We spent much of the day at the beach. That was after easing into the morning by hanging out on the porch with the kids. Andrew and I did drawings together. Shelby came over with the kids, I got to hold Kylie while she pounded some blueberries. She is such a sweet smiling baby. I can usually make her laugh. At the beach Eva was transformed into a mermaid by my mom. Andrew wanted the same thing and I buried his legs when Eva went back to the house.
Today was also National Graham Cracker Day. We celebrated with a bunch of S’Mores.
Eva was all smiles as she drove the Starfish, a boat that we took on a cruise on the Bass River. Bass River Cruises was a nice trip from Rt. 28 to the mouth of the Bass River in Dennis/Yarmouth, MA. We went on the cruise with my Aunt Cindy and my Grandmother and her friend. The kids loved the trip. We got to learn about all the houses on the river and who owned them over time and more. The kids even got to drive the boat. At first Eva was hesitant at driving the boat but she warmed up to it and was all smiles by the end. She got to drive a pretty long time, too.
Andrew also drove and he was so excited to drive. He was moving the wheel all over the place. He asked the captain if he could push buttons and turn the key. The captain kept a tight grip on the wheel and a sharp eye on the buttons. Probably a pretty good idea on his part. Continue reading Captain for a Day→
