Predator

No, not the Arnold movie from the 80’s. I am talking about the Patricia Cornwell book of the same name. Predator refers to some acronym having to do with studying the brains of psychopaths and serial killers. The book was horrible. I hated it but I have read all of her other stuff so I continued to read on with all the books in this series. Well, I should not have done so. I should have stopped at Blowfly because that and Trace were equally sucky. It is time to put Kay Scarpetta out to pasture. She has ceased being a character that has any relevance. If you disagree or want to find out for yourself go ahead and read these three books. I think you will be disappointed.

Tyrannosaur Canyon

About a month ago I read this book. The book had a very interesting theory about dinosaurs and the action was fast paced and exciting. I really like Douglas Preston’s work and originally bought this book as a throw away book to read on a flight because I had already finished the book I had wanted to read. Well, I found through reading this book that Douglas Preston has a new fan in me. He has written quite a few books and many with another author whose name escapes me at the moment, but anyway (his name is Lincoln Child). I was in Barnes and Noble yesterday and saw another Douglas Preston book called The Codex. And I flipped it over and read the back and I guess it is a book with some of the same characters from Tyrannosaur Canyon. Well I now must read this book.
