So I posted on the PayPerPost Forum that I was selling calendars to raise money for the Machinski family. My 2008 Photo-A-Day Calendar has 13 of my best photos and I’m selling the calendar through lulu.com. $2.00 from the sale of each calendar will go directly to the Machinskis. I have a goal of $100 calendars to be sold so I can give them $200.00. And people at the PPP forum have been so cool. Here are some great posts that people have written to help get the word out there about the calendars.
Christine of The Passionate Ailurophile and Tales from the Ballpark and The Purrfect Website was the first person to post about this and she did it because she reads my blog and saw my call for help. Oh and because she ROCKS!
Christine wrote – It was the game that never ends… and Sometimes… – and – It even has a picture of a CAT!
My friend Mo from We’re in a Fight also wrote about and bought a calendar. Here post Pay it Forward was great.
Skeet of Skeet’s stuff wrote a great post as well titled Buy a calendar, help a family
Charlotte of Army Mom: New Jersy wrote – Help out a husband and wife with cancer
Karen of The Pond wrote – Help A Worthy Cause
And some new online friends helped out with this as well.
starryskye81 of starryskye.org wrote – Calendar – Photo A Day
BSN of Hundred Head Start wrote – Check out the beautiful calendar and help a family suffering from cancer
So far 9 calendars have been sold. I’m 91 units away from my goal. I hope that you can help. Ways that you can help would be to write a post about the calendars, buy one or donate to the Machinski family, either through my donate button (I had 3 people donate a total of $35.00 yesterday, you folks rock and you know who you are!)
My High School Reunion is November 24th and on that day I would like to present the Machinski’s with a check for $200.00 from the sales of these calendars. My goal is to sell 100 calendars by November 24th.
Can you help me do that?
Will you spread the word to all your blogging friends and family?
Here are the images that make up the calendar. Click for larger images. Feel free to use any in your posts about the calendar.
Also, it has been brought to my attention that some people would not like a calendar but would like to donate anyway, so I set up this PayPal donate button. Please donate if you are so inclined.
