Relay for Life Fundraising

Hope... PAD #1176

Allison, Eva and I will be participating in our local Relay for Life on Friday June 12-13, 2009. We participated in the relay last year as well. Our fund raising efforts have been scant so far. With so much going on it was difficult to get the word out.

So, I am calling upon the readership of BenSpark.com for some help.

In return for a $10 min donation I’ll add a link to your blog in a thank you post.

In return for a $25 min donation I’ll write a review of your blog.

In return for Tweeting the link to our donation page I’ll post your twitter name on to a #FollowFriday list.

“Help @alsparky #evaboo & @benspark raise $500 for Relay for Life http://urlbrief.com/8f72c0

“Donate $25 to the Relay for Life and get yourself a review on @benspark’s blog. https://benspark.com/relay-for-life-fundraising.html

I’d also appreciate anyone blogging about our walk. We are walking to join people around the world in celebrating those who have survived cancer, remembering the people we’ve lost, and supporting the lifesaving mission of the American Cancer Society.

We are also walking for family and friends who have endured, survived and succumbed to Cancer. Your donation will go to help fight against this insidious disease.

When you make a donation you are helping deliver the hope that future generations will not have to endure cancer threatening the lives of their friends and family. You have the power to fight back against a disease that affects millions.

The American Cancer Society has funded researchers that have been involved in virtually every cancer breakthrough, including mammography to screen for breast cancer, the Pap smear to test for cervical cancer, the link between smoking and lung cancer, and more recently the link between obesity and a higher risk for the disease. Forty of the researchers it funded early in their careers have gone on to win the Nobel Prize!

You can be sure your donation will be put to good use!

Photo-A-Day #1517

Today was pretty much a normal day. I got up at 5:00 and headed to the gym at work. I did 30 minutes on the bike and 20+ on the elliptical. I watched some GeekBrief.tv and some TikiBar.tv as well. Getting back into the gym was nice, it really gets my body ready for the day ahead.

Being basically incommunicado for the weekend had me with a bunch of e-mails backed up. I welcomed more people into my SocialSpark “IZEA Insider” Crew, the “I’m Not A Famous Blogger” Crew. I find that it is important as a crew leader to make sure that each team member is properly welcomed to the crew. I tell everyone about SocialSpark Saturdays as well as the overall role of the IZEA Insider. I think that I’m going to offer my crew something special in the coming weeks. So if you are on the crew keep watching, if you are not on the crew now is the time to join up.
