Today we went up to Holden to visit Allison’s Aunt and Uncle and have a family fun day. We caught up with Allison’s Mom’s side of the family and had a very fun day. Eva got to play with some of her cousins and second cousins and she had a blast. She played with balloons, sidewalk chalk, bubbles and much more. Mmmm… Pie
Allison is making a Peach, Cherry & Blueberry pie for the family reunion tomorrow. I slept all day today after a delicious pancake and sausage breakfast that Allison made. When I woke up I was created y Eva zooming around the house with her new Merida (from Disney’s Brave) doll and the pie above being assembled.
Today I finally finished reading book five of George R. R. Martin’s A Song of Fire And Ice series: A Dance with Dragons. I’ve really enjoyed the series thus far and look forward to the next books when they come out in God know how many years. I hope that I still remember all the characters by then. This was a super quick read for me and the books were immense. I made use of the Kindle, and Kindle app for iPad, iPhone and the PC. This made it so easy to read whenever I had a spare moment. And because the books synced up among the devices I could always be on the right page, except when I fell asleep with my finger on the advance button. That happened more than once. But now I’m done and I’m looking for what to read next. I have a few things in my Kindle and should just jump right into one of them. Or I might finally start watching Battlestar Galactica.
