Not because of the leaves falling that I have to rake or the switch to using the heat in the house (not quite yet) and having the gas bill go from $23 to $300 (that’s in the height of winter). No, I like Fall because I can finally stop walking around drenched in sweat. I love the cool weather. I love it. I love being able to actually use covers in the bed instead of sleeping on top of it trying to keep cool. I also love Halloween and can’t wait to see the kids enjoying that holiday this year. Fall is also the season when the kid’s birthdays happen and that is wonderful in and of itself. Continue reading It’s Fall, It’s Fall, I Love It All

I’m Standing Here
Andrew and I got to watch an eviction today. It is hard not to be nosy around this neighborhood because it seems that the neighbors air their dirty laundry out on their front lawns, loudly and often. So we saw one of the apartments across the way move out. There was even a constable there, too. I didn’t even know that there were constables in America. I wonder what sort of wackiness will we be seeing when the next tenant move in.
So we were out on the porch to get out of the house but also so see what was going on. While we were out there I let Andrew crawl around a bit and he pulled himself up on the railing. I got my camera out in time for him to turn and give me that huge smile of his. He was so proud of himself.
