It is no secret that I want to sell our house and move. Part of the preparations have been to fix the things around the house that are not in the best state. Our floodlight on the garage has been out for nearly a year, probably longer. It looks awful, too. Especially since bees decided to start a home in the broken sensor. I had been really intimidated to do this job myself because it is an electrical project.
When I was selected to take part in this campaign with the @DIYZ_App I looked through the app and saw that replacing a floodlight was one of the options. The DIYZ App is free to download on both iOS and Android platforms.
At least six months ago I bought a new floodlight and lights in hopes that I would replace the broken one. Hoping something will get done and actually doing it myself are two very different things. When I saw the project on the app I knew that was the one I was going to complete. I simply had to, or else I would never have fixed the light. I like how the DIYZ App has step-by-step instructions as well as segmented videos to help me tackle the project. By reading all the steps and watching the videos ahead of time, I knew what I was in for. I also knew what I would need because there was a list of recommended tools and materials at my fingertips.
