The original Mary Poppins is known for some exception and recognizable music. Who doesn’t know Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious or a Spoonful of Sugar? These are classic songs that we have carried with us for years. Well, I hope that the music of Mary Poppins Returns is something that will certainly become a classic especially if Lin Manuel Miranda is attached to the project. He has created many wonderful songs for his movies and theatrical production. I have a little featurette of some of the music from the upcoming movie. Just a little taste of it for now.
Allison and I are headed to the Boch Center Wang Theater to see Rock of Ages. We received two passes to attend the opening night and a special reception before the performance. I’ll be posting more about the show after we see it, but I wanted to let you know all about the show and how to get your own tickets to attend. I’ve never seen the stage show before, but I did see the movie a few years ago. I enjoyed so much of the music of the movie and I am looking forward to seeing it live. The music of Rock of Ages is the music of my childhood and teenage years. It is the music that still gets me pumped up whenever I hear it. Tomorrow night is going to be epic!
