Pick a Side – Team Pikachu or Team Eevee with Pokémon Let’s Go for the Nintendo Switch

Pokemon Lets Go Pikachu

I have to admit that I have never been part of the whole Pokémon phenomenon. It seems like it is something that would have been perfect for me. I’m a collector of things and the tagline was always “gotta catch em all”. However, I was in that spot between being just a bit too old and not doing much with games and toys when the craze started. It has certainly not slowed down if things like Pokémon Go became a worldwide thing. Well, now the Nintendo Switch has a new game called Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! So, it is two games and you have to decide which team you are on. Nintendo even has special bundles that include a Poké Ball Plus.

I love how many fun accessories the Nintendo Switch has for making the player be more a part of the experience of the game. For example, the Poké Ball Plus. It lights up and vibrates and acts like a real Poké Ball would if those were actually real things. But what a fun experience to put a player into the games’ world. There is also special Nintendo Switch has decorations specific to this game and includes either Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! plus a Poké Ball Plus I have all of the products linked out to Amazon (affiliate links) below so you can get quick access to them.

Off the bat I am happy to see that Playmates Toys is still pricing their figures under $10 each. When I see other toy companies charging more for less it is frustrating. The Playmates figures have been consistently under $10 and they continue to improve with time. This latest set has many points of articulation and details. With each new iteration of the turtles there are more and more changes to make them unique. The first turtles toys back in the late 80’s and 90’s had four turtles that were almost exactly the same save for the colors of their masks and their weapons, oh and the letters on their belts. Granted the only thing that would differentiate the turtles in the comics was their weapons and personalities. The books were black and white.
