42 years in the making and Star Wars as we have known it has come to an end. The saga has completed. Of course, this is not the end of Star Wars content, stories, movie and TV shows. No, this is the end of the run for our original cast. Their story has been told. To me this was a great send off to the trilogy of trilogies. Episodes 4-6 were the best and will continue to be revered. Episodes 1-3 weren’t that great but there were bright spots within them. Episodes 7-9 were up then down and then up again.

We thoroughly enjoyed The Rise of Skywalker. We laughed, cheered, and cried. There was plenty to be excited about too. Some things that were great payoffs and some things out of left field but for the most part it was a fun movie that we enjoyed. I look forward to watching it again.

I couldn’t believe how much the movie affected Eva. She was full on sobbing at points and she was so excited to talk about it afterwards, too. I think that her reaction made the movie even better for me. I love that we have shared this love for a series with our kids and they have also become fans.

Today both Andrew and I earned our blue belts. Andrew earned his in Karate as part of the Karate Kids program at America’s Best Defense. I earned mine through the Adult Krav Maga program. Andrew received his in a graduation ceremony tonight and I received mine through a graduation ceremony after my class this morning. It was a tough test, too made more difficult by being sick. I was majorly sucking wind and then having coughing fits but I gave it my all.

Andrew did really well in his graduation. He’s coming along in his learning and he’s still having fun, which is most important.
