Our Saint Patrick’s day started out like most but we were all relaxed and home because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We are staying home for the foreseeable future and as such have more time to do things together as a family. One of those things is to make breakfast each morning. I was helping Allison out so I made the bacon and pancakes that we had.
Our Leprechaun came and tore through the kids’ trap like butter. He also made the toilets and the milk and pancake mix green. So we had green pancakes for breakfast along with some bacon.
Thekids were not happy that the Leprechaun escaped them another year. They were so sure that they would have caught the guy this time around. Oh well, there is always next year.
The Leprechaun alsso turned the rest of our milk green and it made for a colorful cereal for me. I picked out all the marshmallows to put onto my pancakes.
In the afternoon Andrew and I watched Mo Willems do his Lunch doodles. Andy made a drawing of Gerald the elephant from the Elephant and Piggie books. The Mo Willems series is through the Kennedy Center YouTube channel. Mo is the artist in residence there and his series is excellent so far. There are many artists doing the same thing and I love it. Oliver Jeffers is also doing a series and it is great. You can check out the episode that Andy watched below.
It snowed this morning and was wet all day but later in the afternoon Eva and Andrew played with a new basketball that I had delivered. When it warms up we’ll go to a park and play a bit.
