The kids have been enjoying playing basketball at BOKS. The school has had the basketball hoops set up in the gym and the kids have found a ball each morning so that they can play. So, we modified the curriculum today to use the basketball hoops as part of a drill. Kids dribbled down the court through cones and then for a shot or lay up. It just so happened that Eva and Andrew got matched up at one point so I shot this photo of them playing together.
We checked out GottaQ SmokeHouse BBQ tonight after Eva’s last basketball game. While the team did not win they played really well together. Much better than I’ve seen them play so far. They were working together nicely as a team. Eva got in there and tried her best and that is the only thing that we were concerned about her doing, that and having fun. As long as she had fun and tried her best then we were glad that she was enjoying her time playing basketball. Her next adventure is volleyball.
Dinner at GottaQ was a good one. It was not the BBQ that we’ve come to know and love from Chub’s Blue Pig, they are the best around, but the food was good. It was also fairly reasonable in price and the waitress recognized us from KC’s Classic Burger Bar. Either we eat out way too much or we are memorable patrons.
