Zak Designs sent me four of their new gamer water bottles for free to use and review. Opinions are my own.

I love ice cold water. What I love even more is filling a water bottle and adding ice and an hour later still having ice cold water to drink. That is why I love the Stainless Steel water bottles from Zak Designs. I was sent Pac-Man and a Minecraft 24 oz stainless steel water bottles. These not only look great but are so well made. The bottle is made of food-grade 18/8 stainless steel, and the lid is made from plastic and silicone. It has a capacity of 24 ounces and measures 4.27 inches by 3.3 inches wide and 8.4 inches tall.

Because they have double-wall construction and vacuum insulation they will keep iced drinks cold for longer. Another thing to consider is that condensation won’t form on the outside of the insulated bottle. This means that you’re not going to get water rings or slippery sides. Also the water bottles themselves have a textured exterior that makes them easier to grip and adds a fun, fashionable flair.

You’ll have no trouble filling these babies up with ice, either. They feature a wide mouth opening that makes adding ice easy. The screw-on lid has a silicone gasket so it won’t leak, and the silicone band on the outside helps with grip to make sure it’s tightly closed. The lid is attached to the water bottle with a strap to prevent it from getting lost. The travel water bottle can be carried by hand with the built-in strap, or clipped to a backpack or bag.

I was also sent two 36oz water bottles made from durable Tritan material. These water bottles also feature the wide mouth opening and the silicone screw-on lids. The bottles are textured on the outside and feature great looking graphics. My kids are crazy about minecraft and were so excited for these new water bottles.

Review: Race Across The USA Board Game from University Games

Race Across the USA

We received a free review copy of Race Across the USA from University Games. Opinions are our own.

I am so impressed with the knowledge that andy has stuffed in his little head and how he makes great connections while we were playing Rae Across the USA. In this game you have to collect 6 state cards as you travel from state to state answering multiple choice or True/False questions about places in the USA. I played several times with Andy and he won each one. He’s a whiz when it comes to retaining facts. There was one question about which state was known as The Garden state and he pulls New Jersey out of a song from the Percy Jackson The Lightning Thief Musical.

The game has two different levels of cards and questions. There are questions for 3rd and th graders and questions for 5th and 6th graders. Andy did the 3rd and 4th grade questions and I took the 5th and 6th grade ones. After mopping the floor with me three times he challenged his sister and they had fun together. We’ll have to play another time when the whole family can enjoy the game.

The game itself is very easy to play, very limited rules and easy set-up. Gameplay can last between 5 and 15 minutes depending upon how quickly questions are answered. You can get the full details on the game on the University Games website for Race Across the USA. The game comes in two versions, there is the board game and the game in a tin. You can pick up the game through our Amazon.com affiliate link if you are so inclined.
