45th Annual Dartmouth Neighborhood 4th of July Parade

Photo-A-Day #1913

A nice long family weekend. I decided that this weekend was not going to be one where I wrote till all hours of the night about what happened that day. I figured I’d just enjoy the day and the family and post up my photos from all the fun that we had. I started the 4th of July 2010 Picasa Album and will add more photos to it tonight. For now I have up photos from the annual parade and later there will be fireworks photos.

The day was a really nice one, weatherwise and fun-wise. We did the annual parade and Eva looked so cute. We then went to the beach with Uncle Wayne, his sister and her husband as well as my cousin Erin and her husband Danny. My sister Tara was there with us as well. The beach was packed. I have not seen the entire beach that packed since the 80s. Seriously, it was incredible. We were so packed together. I enjoyed the swimming and this year I did not lose my wedding ring. Yay!

We had a great cook out and during that I was able to let Erin and Danny view all their wedding photos on my iPad. I scrambled to get them all on there before we headed out on Saturday and I am glad that I did because they enjoyed looking at them, Now I’ve got to work on everything else for that including cropping and post processing them all. They also enjoyed seeing the bloopers and not so good ones as well. They got a laugh out of those.

We had an amazing fireworks display and I sat on the beach in a chair hitting the remote on my camera over and over. I did the shots methodically this year. I set the ISO to 100. I then set the Aperture to 11 and I played around with the camera speed and settled on 5 seconds. That seemed to get some pretty decent shots. I am hoping that I can somehow use a tripod at Disney so I can shoot some fireworks this year.
