I received a download code for Tiggly Christmas so that I could play with it and review the app. I was provided with the Tiggly Shapes for a previous review. Opinions are 100% my own.
Just in Time for Christmas there is a brand new app from Tiggly. This app uses the Tiggly shapes that are used for all other Tiggly apps. These have been such a fun accessory for the iPad Air for my son to use. Andrew has loved playing with these shapes and apps.
We spent a couple of hour long sessions playing this game. It is a single game in multiple parts. You start off by entering a house and it is decorated for Christmas. First thing you do inside is decorate the Christmas tree. The outline of a shape will come up and your child will use the shape toy and place it on the screen. Then a new ornament will appear on the screen and it will be added to the tree. Your child can move the ornaments all around the tree and redecorate the tree.
Once the tree is decorated the screen moves out a little bit and your child will be asked to place more shapes to create a toy to put under the tree. Once that is complete they can take a photo and send the scene as a postcard or upload to Facebook and other places. You can also save it to your photo gallery like the image below.
Here is the official description of the game.
“Tiggly Christmas takes a child through the fun traditions of Christmas: decorating the tree, opening gifts, playing with toys, taking pictures, and sending festive postcards. Children can create ornaments out of stars, circles, squares, and triangles and at the end, see their decorated tree shining brightly! They can use their shapes to unwrap a special gift, and play with their toy as long as they wish. Tiggly Christmas is about the joyful experience of the holidays, complete with all the magic and happy moments — like seeing the snow falling behind the window, and darkening the room to see the lights shining on their tree! The app helps engage children in imaginative play while improving their creativity, fine motor skills, and spatial thinking. Proud mom and dad can share their child’s postcard with their loved ones by sending the cards through email, sharing them on social media, or over Airdrop.“
You can get the app from the iTunes store ($2.99) at this link https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/tiggly-christmas/id767642449?ls=1&mt=8
