I have a crazy schedule. Half of the week I sleep during the day and work at night. The other half of the week I have a more traditional or normal schedule. During the traditional week I watch my three year old son as I try and flip my internal clock back to being awake during the day and sleeping at night. Some days I am too tired to function well and sometimes I don’t even get a chance to shower. This oversight may or may not happen a few times a week. Normally, I don’t stink but like visits and fish, after 3 days everything stinks, including me.

Part of the reason that I forget to shower is that the days start to run together when you’ve been stuck inside all Winter and each day looks the same as the last. Another part of the reason is that I like to be comfortable. I love being in a T-shirt and jeans so much that I work at a job that allows me to dress that way. I’m all done with the button down lifestyle. But, I could get myself cleaned up a little more often. The least I could do is not get to a point where I am stinking up the joint.

Recently, I took my daughter to the Father-Daughter Dance for her school. She wasn’t letting me get away with dressing like I normally do. I had to step up my game a bit and get dressed up and cleaned up. Well, I didn’t want my little girl to be slow dancing with daddy and wonder where that smell was coming from.
