This month’s #StreamTeam post is all about the Beat Bugs. If you haven’t seen it yet, it is really well done. Because I am part of the Netflix #Streamteam I receive a subscription to Netflix and a yearly gift as compensation. However, my thoughts and opinions regarding Netflix and their programming are 100% my own.
So, Beat Bugs just started this month and it has quickly become a favorite in the house. The kids are singing the songs and that is really awesome. The songs are Beatles songs and so that is pretty fantastic. The songs are done by contemporary artists. The kids liked the songs so much they offered to help me sing the theme song to the show.
If you liked that then you are really going to like this. This month I am giving away a 6-month subscription card to one lucky winner who posts their family’s “All You Need is Love” cover. You need to post this video to Instagram or Twitter and use the hashtag of #BeatBugs and also tag me @BenSpark so that I know you entered. I will pick a Winner on August 29th.
What have I been watching on Netflix recently? I was nervous to watch Stranger Things because I thought it was horror and I’m not a fan. But soon after the show was released I saw nothing but positive posts about it. So, I watched it and it was awesome! It was so well done. If you like the shows and movies of the 80’s plus the X-Files then you’ll like Stranger Things. Lots of suspense but very little overly shocking or gross and scary. Just suspenseful scary for the most part.
Allison has discovered Parenthood and I’ll be checking that out soon, too. I watched a little bit of one episode with her and I liked it, so it may be my next binge-worthy show. However, all bets are off when Longmire comes back on September 23rd.
As for the kids, in addition to The Beat Bugs, they have discovered that two of their favorite shows have new episodes. Eva was thriled for some new Project Mc2 to have a second season, it was released on August 12.
Andrew is a big fan of Masha and The Bear. He just loves that impish little Masha. He also loves that there are new episodes to watch.
We haven’t watched the movie The Little Prince, though. That came out back on August 5th and I’ve heard good things.
A show that I know very little about is The Storybots. It might be a good one to watch since it tackles the big questions. You know, those ones that kids ask. They ask the toughest questions like, “Why do I have to brush my teeth?” and “Why is the sky blue?” The Storybots answer those type of Big Questions from kids.
That’s what I’ve got for you this month about Netflix. Come back next month when I let you know about shows like Luke Cage and Longmire. September is gonna be Sweet!
