My Dad and I went all over Falmouth Today doing a little Photowalking with the GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr. It is rather late tonight so I’ll have to upload more photos tomorrow. This photo is of a special hose connector at Spohr Gardens.

Today started with Dad and I going on an impromptu PhotoWalk. We started at the house and then went up to Spohr Gardens to walk around. I brought my GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr with me and it captured our whole route through the gardens as well as our drive all around. One really cool thing with the PhotoTrackr is that it records your speed. When we walked around our speed was 0 or 1 maybe two but not much more than that, it made sense that our speed would be slow, then when we got in the car to the next destination the speed was tracked in the car as well. so I can review the entire trip and see the number of miles that we did as well as the speeds. It was pretty cool.

We left the Spohr Gardens and drove over to the Nobska Lighthouse and Nellie Point. Nellie Point was blessed and named for Nellie Anne Heffernan Casey. She was killed in the September 11th attacks. A memorial plague is embedded in a rock on Nellie Point, this is one of the most beautiful places on the Cape to sit and watch the sunset and the boats out on the water. It was also very sobering to be on that point near Nellie’s memorial.

Dad and I took a bunch of pictures of the lighthouse as well as photos of the boats on the water. Dad took some photos and some video of me for a video I am making about the GiSTEQ PhotoTrackr. I have some more work to do on that and more tests to perform but it is coming along nicely.

After the lighthouse we headed back towards home and stopped by the Falmouth Harbor to see a classic car show. The cars were beautiful and the weather couldn’t have been better. We strolled around while Dad pointed out many cars that he had as a kid. It is always fun to go to a car show with Dad because he knows a lot about them.

The afternoon Allison and I spent some time with my grandparents. I worked on a little computer project with Grandpa and Allison sat with Grandma and knitted. Allison is working on a baby blanket. It is coming along nicely.

We headed home early and stopped by somerset creamery for ice cream and visited with Kim at Cape Cod Kayak for a while. Then we were on our way home. When we got home we found out that the cats had been shut out of the room where their litter box was contained. And we are very grateful to Tara and Erik for cleaning up before we got home. Poor cats, poor Tara and Erik. I can’t believe the door blew shut, there was hardly any windows open wide enough to get a good gust through.
