Photo-A-Day #928 10/23/07

Today started very very early, no I didn’t go back to work yet, that is tomorrow. Eva got up around 4:15am. I took her to change and then gave her to Allison to so she could feed her. I stayed up with them and while I was up I decided to work on our travel arrangements for Florida in February. Once the really cold weather hits that trip can’t come fast enough.

Allison and Mimi Marcia took Eva to visit with her Great-Grandparents on Allison’s side. They had a wonderful day and Eva slept for most of it. Then I met back up with them at my Aunt Candy’s house for pizza.

For me, the day consisted of an eye exam and then painting the walls in the bathroom a third coat. The third coat covered pretty well. It should have, it had two coats and primer beneath it. Dad came up from the Cape and helped me and he took care of a few other things in there. That room is coming along. It will be nice to have a second bathroom again, especially since the toilet in the main bathroom decided to stop working properly. If it isn’t one thing, it is another. Honestly.

Preparations started today on my blog “Read to Me, Dad”. I had set it up on Blogger but since I won David Airey’s contest I decided that my free hosting would be for that blog. I’d really like to make that blog a nice resource for Dads. So John is helping me get that all set up. Look for regular updates in a couple of weeks.

Congratulations Sr. Pat.

Yesterday I went to Sr. Pat’s 50th jubilee celebration mass. It was at my old High School. Going back there was weird especially after so long and also with all the planning that has been happening with the 15 year reunion. People are starting to decide to respond and I’ve been getting money and rsvps this week.

Sr. Pat is the lifeblood behind Bishop Feehan High School. Sr. Pat has worked their for 38 years and she is still as kind and caring as she was when she first started there. She truly embodies what it means to be Christ for others. I’ve seen her do it and she was a big influence on my life in High school. That leading by example carried with me throughout my life as well. When you need someone to talk to who will listen and tell it like it is and you thank her for that, think of Sr. Pat. When you want someone in your corner pulling for you to succeed, think of Sr. Pat. When everyone else looks at you like you can’t do it, Sr. Pat is there encouraging you keep trying.

I took a few photos at the Jubilee.
