cliff walk in Newport

Today we drove to Newport to spend the day with Mimi and Dano and walk around the area. When we got there Allison, Eva, Andy and I decided to walk the Cliff Walk. Andy really wanted to do this and he is all about having maps for places that we visit now. Allison printed him a map but it didn’t work out that well so she let him use her phone for a map app. Our walk to the Cliff Walk was over a mile and once we got there we walked very little of the Cliff Walk before we spent some time on the beach and decided to walk back.

When we walked back to the downtown area we met up with Mimi and Dano and went into a few shops and then had lunch. We had lunch at Gary’s Diner a no frills place that had great prices and good solid comfort food. I enjoyed a Tuna Melt and had not had one of those in forever. While we walked back to the car we stopped to get some Ben and Jerry’s ice cream and I stopped at a popcorn store and picked up Mexican Chocolate popcorn. It was so good.

For dinner we went to House of Fortune and had a great time. We were joined by Miss Colleen and we tried a new dish called Two flavor Shrimp. The flavors were Salt and Pepper and Sesame. Excellent meal as always.

Tonight Allison an I went to see comedian Nate Bargatze. This was her gift to me on Christmas 2019. That was the year that we went and got each other comedy events for gifts and both events got rescheduled. But, Nate Bargatze’s show was rescheduled many times. He was very funny and we had a great night. There was a couple in front of us who were taking selfies and each time they did I was right behind them and I tried to turn my head or something and not be in their photos.

at the end of the show I took this photo with Allison and who is behind looking over my shoulder? The guy who was in front of us! He’s turned his head and it looks like he’s peeking over my shoulder. I was trying to take the photo quickly because everyone was leaving the theater and I didn’t have a moment to check and see what was behind me. We got a laugh out of it.
