Last Tuesday an all new Disney Infinity 3.0 Toy Box Expansion game was released. The Toy Box Speedway was sent to me to play with review. As always my opinions are 100% my own. I was excited to receive this game and played it almost immediately upon its arrival. That is why I don’t have any unboxing video to go along with this post. The new expansion game is a kart racer with nine special tracks and three types of gameplay. There is Single racing, time trials and battle mode. While I haven’t been successful yet there is a way to unlock the ability to use toys in each track. You have to collect three special coins in each track to unlock additional toys in the game. You can also use vehicle power discs to drive with different vehicles in the game. I have not tried this yet, so far I’ve only had the default car. I’m still trying to figure out how to use other cars on the track.

MY overall impression is that this is a fun kart racer. You play against other Disney Infinity characters and can race head to head locally or up to four people online. I have not played the online aspect of this but have done the local and I like how the screen gets split for racing. Not side by side but split across the middle of the TV which gives you a full widescreen look at the track. I suspect that we will be playing much more of this once the kids realize that we can use different vehicles. More about the game below. I just learned that the 2015 Hess Toy Truck is the Hess Fire Truck and Ladder Rescue. This looks like a great truck with plenty of fun extras like an LED Searchlight, slide out ramp, and four sound effects. The truck looks slick, too with chrome-detailed fire hose nozzles and LED lights. This will be a perfect addition to our fleet of Hess Toy Trucks that Santa has brought the kids each Christmas. I’ll be sure to be ordering on November 1, 2015.
