Sweet as Hunny – A Red Carpet Night at the Christopher Robin Premiere

Walking the Christopher Robin Red Carpet

Doing Nothing Often Leads to the Very Best Something. – Christopher Robin

On Monday night I had the pleasure and good fortune to attend the Christopher Robin Movie Premiere on the Walt Disney Studios lot. I was a guest if Disney and one of 25 bloggers chosen to attend. My flight, hotel and food was courtesy of Disney. I also received some promotional items as part of the event. Opions, as always are my own. I also have affiliate links to Amazon.com for part of my red carpet ensemble.

I have only been to one previous red carpet in my life and well, that is a once in a lifetime event. I am so grateful to be able to experience a second one. However, this was much different than the Thor: Ragnarok Premiere, my previous red Carpet experience. While that one was filled with flash, nerves and excitement, this was rather… subdued.

And… I wouldn’t have changed a thing!

While Thor: Ragnarok was like going to a rock concert, Christopher Robin was like a pleasant holiday. Like going on a picnic or relaxing at the beach.

Disney Bounding as Winnie the Pooh at the Christopher Robin Red Carpet Premiere

Doing some Disney Bounding.

For Thor: Ragnarok I wore a green shirt with tribal markings on the shoulder to represent the Hulk and also Hela. This time I decided to Disney Bound as Winnie the Pooh. I went to Amazon and I bought a yellow shirt that had a red accent/double collar and square buttons. I also got yellow slip on sneakers and picked out no-tie laces in red to complete the look. I didn’t turn a lot of heads but Minnie Mouse noticed the shoes and gave her approval.

Review: Daniel Webster Inn – Sandwich, MA

The Daniel Webster Inn

Allison and I were invited to stay at the Daniel Webster Inn and Spa and see all the amenities of the Inn. Our stay was compensated. Opinions are our own.

Growing up on Falmouth Cape Cod we often did not venture beyond Mashpee because of how “far away” those other towns were. Going to Sandwich? Well that is clean across the cape and back to the canal. You might as well go home if you are heading there. That is often an opinion anywhere on the Cape. Once you get to your place on Cape Cod you hunker down and avoid the traffic at all costs. However, if you do that then you miss out on all that Cape Cod has to offer. There is a rich history here that is waiting to be discovered. One such historical place is The Daniel Webster Inn.

The Daniel Webster Inn is so named because the famous Boston lawyer, Daniel Webster had a room reserved at this Tavern from 1815 to 1851. There has been lodging on this site for over 300 years. Nestled in the very heart of the town of Sandwich, Ma, the Cape’s oldest town, the Daniel Webster Inn offers visitors and locals alike a fine place to stay and excellent meals.

On our visit Allison and I drove all the way over to Sandwich (about 40 minutes from Falmouth) and had lunch near the canal. Then we visited the Sandwich Glass Museum and learned how glassblowing and glassmaking made Sandwich a very prosperous town. I find that as I get older, all those trips that I was so bored with as a child are no very interesting. We saw a glassblowing demonstration and tours the substantial museum that had a large collection of Sandwich glass. Continue reading Review: Daniel Webster Inn – Sandwich, MA
