Columbus Day and Labor day are usually the end of the season when kayak shops want to get rid of their summer fleet of boats. You can really get yourself a good deal on a used boat if you take a look for one this weekend. Remember that kayaks are dang near indestructible and they still work fine with a nick here or a scratch there. Secondhand boats are where it is at when it comes to frugal paddling.

I’ve been looking around for a fishing kayak for a while now. The problem is that I’m way over here in San Diego so I guess I’m not going to be able to stop by Cape Cod!
I’m waiting until Black Friday to see if any deals might spring up. Eventually I may just have to get one on Craigs List.
