After being a star of many humorous digital shorts, Cookie Monster gets his very own special. I have always been a fan of Cookie Monster. He is funny and silly and loves cookies as much as me. Maybe I will learn to wait like Cookie has for the past few years. But cookies are just so tasty.
We received a screener of “The Cookie Thief” as well as some other fun items to mix cookies and art. The package included a watercolor painting set, a Cookie Monster plush, a Cookie Monster book, a chef hat, Sesame Street stickers, and a Cookie Monster shaped cookie cutter. We’ll have some fun times during these countless snow days.
In the special Cookie Monster becomes the primary suspect when famous cookie art begins disappearing. It is up to Cookie Monster, Chris and Elmo to solve the mystery of who is stealing all of the cookie art. Along the way they are helped my Prairie Dawn and Abby Cadabby. The special ends with a bunch of shorts about art including a Bert and Ernie Adventure and more. Rachel Dratch from SNL appears as a guest star in the special as well. She is the head of security for the cookie art museum. It was a funny special and it incorporated humor, impulse control and managing emotions.
