My car is just shy of ten years old. I’ve had a commutes of between half an hour to an hour each way in that time. I’ve taken the car on many road trips as well. the car now has just shy of 145,000 miles to it. The main thing that I’ve done to keep it in good working order is that I’ve changed the oil.
I credit my Dad with “teaching” me how to drive by screaming at mailboxes along Ellis road. I also credit him with instilling in me the importance of taking care of my cars. Check the oil, change the oil. these are two pieces of advice that my Father has always told me about owning a car. Jiffy Lube feels the same way with their “Keeping My Ride Alive” campaign.
And it looks like my Dad wasn’t the only one teaching his kids to take care of their rides.
A recent survey conducted on behalf of Jiffy Lube explored the ties between dads and vehicles and revealed:
- 87% of Americans have shared fond vehicle-related memories with dad – be it road tripping or learning how to drive
- When it comes to maintenance, more than 50% say that dad is the individual who taught them the most about taking care of their vehicle
With gas prices soaring it is more important than ever to keep your car in top running shape. Oil Changes are an important part of that but did you know that tire pressure is also important. With a Jiffy Lube Signature service you’re going to get a bunch of extras to help keep your car running smoothly. And I’m going to help you with this month’s signature service at least. I have a $35.00 gift card that you can use to help pay for a Jiffy Lube Signature Service of your own.

My stepdad taught me how to drive but it’s been my husband who has taught me the importance of car maintenance.
